How to Measure Your Dog
Coat size is determined by measuring base of neck to base of tail.
Be sure your dog is standing squarely, with head up, while measuring.
With your dog looking straight ahead, measure from the point where the neck joins the body to the po
int where the tail joins the body.
Order in
even
sizes from 8" to 28", 13" only exception.
If your dog's tail goes up (like Jack Russell Terr, Schnauzer), round down, if tail goes down, round up.
Use the breed size chart below to determine coat size.
Measuring Tips:
* Length: Standing straight with head up measure from the base of the neck to the base of tail. (Careful they don't "tuck" their fanny under)
** Drop: Measure your dog from the center of the spine down towards the elbow ( see photo below)
Ideal fit is for the coat to cover the body without droping below the elbow.
